Poetry
Lisa Citore has used poetry as an expression for her healing journey and a way to inspire and empower other women to share their truth since her early twenties. In addition to being a slam poet, representing Cleveland, Ohio, finishing third in the ’98 Slam Poetry Nationals, Lisa wrote greeting cards for a fortune 500 card corporation for 15 years, creating several humorous and conventional alternative card lines which still sell all over the world today.
Lisa is currently producing a CD of her poetry entitled,
Keep It Wet. The best of over a decade of adventures, her CD promises to be provocative, fierce and authentically vulnerable, expressing the wild heart of a woman on her path.
Along with her personal projects, Lisa will be co-leading a young women’s poetry circle - ages 12-18 - with the hope of creating a performance based on the collective writing of the circle [Fall 2008].
Lisa’s poetry is available in several categories: Nature, Medicine, Personal, Slam
